CRIPTOFONIA is a band from Ezpeleta (Buenos Aires, Argentina), which was created in 2004 with Gonzalo Ganoso on drums, Emiliano Pérez on guitar and Leonardo Magallanes on bass. In 2006 the vocalist and guitarist Fabo Pavic joined the band, completing the lineup.

From that moment, and after finishing the composition of several songs, they started playing gigs all around the city of Buenos Aires (downtown and the southern and western areas)

In 2007 they edited their first independent production ?Factor de la Destrucción? (Factor of destruction), a two-song demo album. Copies of this album were given away during the band gigs and also to anyone who wanted to listen to heavy metal.

In 2008 they recorded their first EP Sinfonía de la Cripta (Symphony from the Crypt), showing an improvement in the sound quality and a wider song repertoire. The album includes 4 original themes and a SAVAGE cover song. It was independently edited as well and it?s available in music stores, band gigs or it can also be ordered by sending an e-mail message to criptoenvios@gmail.com

That year the band also toured in three different provinces of the country and had their first gig abroad in the neighboring country of Uruguay.

In October 2009 Criptofonia was supporting band of Exodus and Kreator during the gig ?La cumbre del Thrash Metal Mundial en Argentina? (The World Thrash Metal Summit in Argentina)

The band has finished composing all the songs that will be included on their first Official Album. They have just released ?Symphony from the Crypt? the English version of the EP ?Sinfonía de la Cripta? to promote the band?s work abroad (also available by sending an email to criptoenvios@gmail.com)

CRIPTOFONIA is a band that aims to reach as many people as possible with their music, all around the world, and leave a mark, trying to create something original.
