Nascido no início de 2005, os Scary Scums já contam com um currículo respeitável. Apresentações ao lado de grandes nomes nacionais (Os Catalépticos, Krappulas, Ovos Presley e A Grande Trepada) e internacionais do psychobilly (Batmobile, Demented Are Go, Cenobites e Monster Klub) já fazem parte da história do trio belorizontino.

Em abril de 2006, os Scary Scums lançam o seu primeiro trabalho. Entitulado “The Incredible Attack of the Scary Scums”, o EP traz cinco músicas do repertório da banda, mostrando sua forte influência das raízes do gênero, bem como do rockabilly e da surf music. O grande diferencial do CD é a constante variação de vozes, uma vez que cada um dos integrantes faz o vocal principal a cada música. A influência de filmes de terror fica clara tanto na capa do disco - uma citação ao clássico de Hitchcock, Psicose - quanto na temática das letras (Coffin Break, I Turned Into A Zombie, Backyard/Graveyard).

Em pouco mais de um ano de carreira, o trio já passou por grandes festivais do Psychobilly brasileiro como o Jungle Nightmare (em São Paulo), Psycho Carnival (em Curitiba) e BH Rumble.

Born in the begining of the year 2005, Scary Scums got a respectable resumé. Shows beside acclaimed psychobilly bands from Brasil (Os Catalépticos, Krappulas, Ovos Presley e A Grande Trepada) and from other countries (Batmobile, Demented Are Go, Cenobites e Monster Klub) are part of the history of the trio from Belo Horizonte, Brazil.

On April 2006, Scary Scums released their debut album. By the name "The Incredible Attack of the Scary Scums", the EP brings you five tracks of their set list, showing that their strongly influenced by the roots psychobilly, as well as rockabilly and surf music influences. The band’s differential is that each of the bands musicians take over the part of lead singer in different songs. The Horror B-Movies influence gets clearly in the cover os the CD - citating the Hitchcock's classic movie, Psycho - as well as the content of the lyrics (Coffin Break, I Turned Into A Zombie, Backyard/Graveyard).

A short while after the band's first year, the trio already played on big Brazilian festivals like Jungle Nightmare (São Paulo), Psycho Carnival (Curitiba) and BH Rumble (Belo Horizonte).
