O Liberty nasceu da ideia de tocar um heavy metal sem rótulos, que pudesse misturar as influências de cada membro, indo do heavy tradicional ao progressivo, passando pelo trash metal.

Iniciou suas apresentações no final de 2007 e passou por diversas cidades do seu estado (RS) tocando inclusive ao lado de grandes artistas como Blaze Bayley (ex Iron Maiden).

Após uma pausa em 2012, a banda volta às suas atividades em 2016 com nova formação. Suas letras falam de diversos assuntos, como a vida cotidiana, atitude e filosofia. Essa é a liberdade na qual o nome da banda se inspira: uma liberdade de expressão, através da agressividade e energia do heavy metal.

Liberty was born from the idea of playing heavy metal without labels, which could mix the influences of each member, ranging from traditional heavy to progressive, including trash metal.

First performances took place in 2007 in several cities of the band’s state, playing alongside great artists like Blaze Bayley (ex Iron Maiden).

After a break in 2012, the band returns to its activities in 2016 with new line-up. Lyrics comprise subjects as everyday life, attitude and philosophy. This is the freedom in which the name of the band is based: freedom of expression through the aggressiveness and energy of heavy metal.
